Single Vision

Single vision lenses have just one prescription, distributing focus evenly over the entire surface of the lens. They are particularly suitable for correcting myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) or astigmatism. But if you normally wear bifocals or progressives, you can also benefit from single vision lenses for specific activities. These include watching television (distance vision) or reading and computer work (near vision).

Progressive

Are you having increasing difficulty focusing at close range? Do you experience momentarily blurred vison when transitioning between viewing distances? Then you may have presbyopia, a condition that typically affects those aged over 40. The earlier you start wearing a pair of progressive lenses, the easier it will be to adapt to your spectacles. If you don’t take action to address these changes, you may become prone to eye fatigue and headaches. Hoya’s progressive lenses (also known as varifocal lenses) have various correction areas, providing clear, relaxed vision at all distances.Progressive

Digital lens

On average, we look at our smartphones, tablets or TV screens for almost five hours every day. And we glance at our mobile phones as many as 80 times a day! And these figures are set to rise in the future. Small font sizes and the constant switching of our viewing focus from near to far objects demands the utmost from our eyes. From the age of 30 onwards, this can lead to digital eyestrain or, as the experts put it, the Computer Vision Syndrome. Digital Lenses offer the perfect remedy by enabling fast, comfortable focusing thanks a specially optimised near zone – no matter where we look. These lenses are ideal not only for digital devices, but also for reading books and magazines.

Ensure that you enjoy comfortable vision in the office – no matter where you look. Office Lenses offer a large visual field for the near and intermediate zones and are adapted to your requirements on the job, right down to the very last centimetre. These lenses are optimised e.g. for the viewing distance between you and your computer screen, the distance to the customer or a co-worker or the perfect distance for reading, allowing your eyes to relax and ensuring a more suitable posture. You'll notice the positive effects even after work.
